How to Use the Statbar Modifier
The main page of this site is a form for you to complete, including selecting a logo for your statbar.  After you finish the form, you will be given a URL to use elsewhere.  The purpose of the main page is to provide you this URL, which you can use on any web site to display your statbar with your logo--including on your geocaching profile page.

The following is a step-by-step guide how you can do this from start to finish.  Any suggestions or questions are welcome; please contact Ranger Fox through his geocaching.com account.

Your Statbar Image URL
To begin with, you need to have your geocaching.com statbar's URL.  Log into your geocaching.com account and go to your "My Account Details" page (if you are already logged in, simply click your geocaching name in the top right-hand corner of the screen).

From this page, we will now get your statbar image URL.  You should now see your statbar on the right side of the screen, much like in the picture to the right.  Right-click your mouse on the statbar and choose "Properties" from the menu.  This will bring up a small window.  Look for the text "Address: (URL)" (in Internet Explorer) or "Location" (in Firefox).  The URL to the right is what you need.

You must copy that entire URL.  To do so, right-click anywhere on the text and choose "Select All" from the menu that you see.  The URL is now highlighted.  Right-click the highlighted text and, this time, choose "Copy".  You now have your statbar URL and the difficult part is over!

Fill Out the Form on This Site
You now have your geocaching.com statbar's URL.  Go to the main page on this site and find the first text box, "Your statbar image URL".  Remove the text from this box and paste your URL inside (you can right-click the text, choose "Select All", then right-click it again and choose "Paste").

The next box asks for your statbar message.  The statbar on geocaching.com that you saw has the message "View my profile".  You can put whatever you want as your message, be it a slogan, goal, or something more personal.  While the geocaching.com statbar will clip long messages, the Statbar Modifier will resize the statbar to fit any length.  If the geocaching.com statbar clips your user name, there is a fix for this on the Statbar Modifier, but you must contact Ranger Fox so he can add your user name to a list the Statbar Modifier uses to fix this problem.

The final step could be difficult for some people--choosing which logo to add to their statbar.  Feel free to browse through the collection to see what is available.  If you or your organization has a logo that is not in this list, send the logo to Ranger Fox and he will quickly add it to the list.  There is no cost to anything offered here.

After that, click the button at the bottom, labeled "Modify My Statbar!"  Your new statbar will display so you can preview it.  You will also see many URLs in the gray box.  Copy the second line in the box, the one beginning with "<img src=".  This is what you will need.

Posting Your Modified Statbar on Your Profile Page
To put your statbar on your profile page, go back to your "My Account Details" page.  Find "Edit My Profile" in the list to the right and click it (you can see that link in the above picture on this page).  Scroll all the way to the end of the page.  You will see "Your Profile Details" and a box to the right.  Paste your Statbar Modifier URL into this box, adding whatever else you want.

Advanced Features
The following are a few advanced Statbar Modifier features.  I am continuously developing more.

Using two logos:
As a request from another geocacher, you can have two logos on your statbar.  The UI is now complete.  The following is an example of the output:

Random logos:
First, you'll need to know each image's id you want to include. This can be done easily enough by clicking each image and displaying the statbar. Note the ending "&img=" text (such as "&img=ncgo"). This is the id. Write down the ones you want to use in your random logo.
Next, build a statbar and copy the URL to your webpage or wherever.  Look at the "&img=" section and add the ids from your list, using a comma (and no spaces) to separate them. For instance, "triad,tt,signalsnow, signalflower, signaljeep, signalny, ncfoothills, garminite, hazards".
The following is a live example. Click the button to change the image.

Using backgrounds on statbars:
You can now submit and use backgrounds on statbars.  You can specify a background on the main page.  Use the options with the text boxes to fine-tune your statbar.  Some live examples follow:
